Ground broken at site of new Lawrenceburg Animal Shelter
Friday, April 16, 2021 was a great day to launch the new Lawrenceburg Animal Shelter project. FOLCA, Lawrenceburg city officials and other partners were on hand for the official groundbreaking ceremony. Friends of Lawrence County Animals is not a rescue organization, but was made aware of an emergency situation involving 40+ sick dogs at a home in south Lawrence County. FOLCA helped make the initial assessment and assisted in coordination of the massive rescue effort.
